What experts say about Foreign Minister's remarks that Nepal is not aware of the mural of 'Akhand Bharat'?

Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud stated that Nepal is unaware of the 'Akhand Bharat' painting in India's new Parliament building.

Protests erupted in Nepal after it was discovered that Lumbini and Kapilvastu were featured in the painting displayed in India's Federal Parliament last week.

During his recent visit to India, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' stated that he highlighted the topic of the 'United India' map.

Foreign Minister Saud, on the other hand, told an Indian television channel that he was unaware about the mural.

Why is the 'Akhand Bharat' mural being criticized in Nepal?

How appropriate is it for Nepal's Prime Minister not to meet the Indian opposition leader?

His statement also contradicts the Prime Minister.

What did Saud have to say?

During the interview, an Aaj Tak Television reporter asked about the Akhand Bharat mural in India's new Parliament building, which has been much debated in Nepal and depicts several areas of Nepal on the map.

Prime Minister Dahal stated that the general population and opposition parties in Nepal have voiced worry about the mural of 'Akhand Bharat' and that the map infringes Nepal's sovereignty, and that voices have been raised in Nepal to address the matter with the Indian prime minister.

"We have no idea what mural has," Saud responded. Something we don't understand... India will make a statement on its behalf. It is not the case  necessary for Nepal to raise this issue."

During the conversation, he stated that this is not a contentious issue.

''Once again, it is not a limitation. According to Facebook, the name of the republic was engraved more than 2,500 years ago. As a result, we have had no discussion about it.''

A reporter from Aaj Tak asked Saud, "And there is no serious concern about it (Nepal)?"

"What should I say about something that has nothing to do?" said the Foreign Minister.

There have been harsh remarks on this segment of the interview when it went viral on social media.

Sharad Raj Pathak, General Secretary of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), released a portion of the interview on Twitter and condemned the country's foreign policy.

What does the opposition leader have to say?

Foreign policy specialists have also expressed their displeasure with the foreign minister's address.

According to Rajan Bhattarai, chief of the main opposition CPN-UML's foreign department, when we look at what was the map of which age, everyone will receive different maps.

As a result, the question of how fair and reasonable it is to impact the other side in recent times arises, he says.

"Before the Second World War, the strong established the border." Later... Nepal-China connections Nepal-China relations It's a matter of fighting and determining our limits. From that point forward, without considering the consequences, forcibly locating a region like Lumbini, which was forcibly listed on the World Heritage List, a center of faith, was like this (... That is again beyond the facts," Bhattarai said.

In how many years will Nepal be able to sell 10,000 MW of electricity to India?

How would the arrival of a freight train effect market prices in Biratnagar?

‘‘... And their argument that we expressed it in terms of legacy and culture is incorrect in and of itself. Culture and heritage are not being mapped. Heritage, culture, and influence have spread throughout the world. So, does this suggest that Europeans and Americans arrived to this location by creating their own maps? What kind of circumstance is created when the Chinese discover the extent of their civilization and culture?''

"We do not agree with the way they have made it very clear that we cannot and do not have to speak in today's time, the insensitive and insensitive attitude of the Indian side on such sensitive issues should not be done in such a way," Bhattarai continued.

He also emphasized the problem of how to be friends with friendly countries while dealing with legitimate challenges and disputes. He stated that Nepal should be entitled to say that it should not be done to 'insult' that civilization, and that India was not a geographical state.

''... We have to say that, say it and speak to friendly countries about what is legitimate, the person representing the nation that talking about national interest and people's welfare will be lucrative, swearing that he will work in the country's interest... "We believe that the people in that chair should not present themselves in an unusual or irresponsible manner," Bhattarai continued.
